#Momat26Travels | Hangzhou Itinerary Part 1

China Trip Day 1 - Hang Zhou

After 5 hours of flight, finally We arrived in Hang Zhou and check in to our Airbnb at 9pm. We stayed in Hang Zhou East Terminal because we need to take bus to Wu Zhen the next day. Our first meal was KFC because it was late so all the restaurants has closed for the day.

It was so cold. Kyle shivering after shower because this 2 dumb parents don't know there's room heater in the bathroom until the next day morning.

China Trip Day 2 - ShanXi, Wu Zhen

Breakfast at 永和大王 because it's the earliest restaurant opens among others. then check out from our Airbnb and go counter to buy bus ticket to Wu Zhen.

Of course never forget some #OOTD shots :p

Bus ticket to Wuzhen is about RMB 35 per person. It takes about 1 and a half hours to travel from Hangzhou to ShanXi, Wuzhen.

This is where we stayed. Beautiful scenery just next to our room. The host 志刚 is very friendly and helpful, he picked us from bus station to his Airbnb, recommended where to visit and what ticket to buy. Sent us warm red bean soup at the end of the day really warm our heart!

I'm not going to share much deep details of the places because you can easily find from the internet. Just sharing our experience is both Dong Zha and Xi Zha.

Ticket to Dong Zha is RMB100, to Xi Zha is RMB120

Sugguest you to buy One-day tour ticket for both - RMB200 so you get to visit both zones.

Wu Zhen is an ancient water town with 6,000 years of history. We were staying at Dong Zha. Compared with Xi Zha, Dong Zha is more quiet and small, it maintains the basic original layout while Xi Zha has been re-constructed to reproduce the ancient appearance of the water town.

Personally, we love Dong Zha more than Xi Zha because it's quiet and easily walk around the town with total of 9 mini museums in the town.

Top 3 museums that we love are:

百床馆

It's the first museum collecting and exhibiting ancient beds in China, its most exquisite collection is the Bed Made by Thousands of Craftsmen. Must look into details and you will be amazed without laser technology, people in ancient time with such delicate workmanship!

宏源泰染坊

Wu Zhen is one of the Famous Blue printed cloth original manufacturing places. Watching the process of making blue printed cloth will remind you of the sophisticated craftsmanship of ancient China.

民俗馆

Another museum that catch our eyes is the Museum of Folk Customs. It displays local unique birthday ceremony, wedding customs, and folk customs on various festivals. You can learn the interesting life style of local people here.

Where-else Xi Zha is too big for us, it is very commercial with alot of shops and restaurants. More busy and happening than Dong Zha.

It's better to go around 4 plus and stay til the night after 9:30p.m. because if you go back to Dong Zha before 9:30p.m. you have to pay re-entry fees RMB25 per person. Xi Zha's night view is beautiful! Dong Zha is all dark and quiet at night.

Food and Activities

Lunch: RMB178

Rice, Vegetable with Mushrooms, 水煮鱼,东波肉和番茄炒蛋。

Snacks: 定胜糕 RMB4

Deep Fried Turnip Cake RMB5 (We love this!)

Turnip Cake

Dinner: I didn't take pictures. We had 焖羊肉,卤鸭,炒菜,海鲜豆腐汤 RMB197

Activities is take lotsa photos! You don't always get to see beautiful ancient view like this, so don't be shy and take more photos for your memory album!

This Traditional bridal costume is at Xi Zha. RMB30 per person for 30 minutes. Actually the place is not big, 30 minutes is more than enough. Too bad Hubby need to carry Kyle, otherwise he can join me :)

They also have mini performance around the town.

That's all for our 1st two days itinerary in China. Will continue with the rest next week.

Thank you for reading!
